Creating folders in Gmail is a simple process that can help you to organize your emails and keep your inbox tidy. Here's how you can create folders in Gmail:

  • Log in to your Gmail account. Once you are logged in, you will see your inbox.
  • On the left-hand side of the page, you will see a list of labels. These labels are pre-set by Gmail and include things like Inbox, Starred, and Sent.
  • To create a new label, click on the More option at the bottom of the label list. This will open a drop-down menu with additional label options.
  • Select Create new label from the drop-down menu. This will open a pop-up window where you can name your new label.
  • Enter a name for your label in the pop-up window. You can also nest your new label under an existing label by selecting the Nest label under option and choosing the label you want to nest it under.
  • Once you have named your label and chosen whether to nest it under an existing label, click Create to save the new label.
  • Your new label will now appear in the label list on the left-hand side of the page. You can click on the label to view any emails that you have assigned to that label.

You can assign emails to your new label by selecting the email and clicking on the label icon at the top of the page. You can also drag and drop emails into your new label from the inbox or other labels.

By creating folders in Gmail, you can keep your emails organized and easy to find. Whether you are organizing work emails or personal emails, creating folders is a great way to streamline your inbox and reduce clutter.
